FIELD: measuring technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring technology and can be used to create devices for converting thermal energy into electrical energy. A device for determining the electrophysical characteristics of samples made of thermoelectric materials contains a working chamber for placing a test sample, the cavity of which is connected to a system of vacuuming and filling with various gases, a heater of one of the surfaces of the test sample connected to a DC power source, temperature sensors and a temperature programmer, a cooling system opposite heated surface of the test sample, a node for providing thermal contact of the heated and cooled surface of the test sample with the heater and the cooled zone of the chamber, respectively, the measuring unit, including a voltmeter and an ohmmeter. Water flow cooling is used as the cooling system. The measuring unit additionally includes a resistance box with the possibility of connecting various resistances to the electric circuit of the measuring unit in order to take the current-voltage characteristics of the test sample. The node for ensuring reliable thermal contact is made in the form of a spring block with fasteners with the possibility of changing the compression force of the sample. Xenon can be used as the working chamber gas.
EFFECT: expanding the functionality of the device for determining electrophysical characteristics.
