FIELD: woodworking.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for comprehensive processing of pine bark. Method for comprehensive processing of pine bark, including the activation of crushed bark under conditions of explosive self-hydrolysis at a temperature of 120°C, water vapour pressure of 1.0 MPa for 30 s; extraction of the bark with hexane followed by separation into coniferous wax and deresined bark; dissolution of the wax in an 0.5 N NaOH solution while heating to 65–70°C for an hour; dilution of the solution with water and triple extraction with diethyl ether, resulting in the isolation of β-sitosterol; treatment of the deresined bark with ethyl alcohol while heating; separation of solid residue; washing of the bark residue; and extraction with a solution of hydrochloric acid, followed by precipitation of pectins with isopropyl alcohol; wherein, in order to obtain tannin substances, the deresined bark is extracted with 70% ethyl alcohol, and 5% HCl solution is used to isolate pectins; after pectins are isolated, the solid pine bark residue is subjected to reduction-catalytic fractionation in a Ru/C catalyst while stirring at 800 rpm and gradually increasing the hydrogen pressure from 4.0 to 10.0 MPa at a temperature of 225°C for 4.5 hours, followed by isolating alkylphenols and cellulose; the solid product is washed with ethyl alcohol, the resulting mixture of liquid alkylphenols and solid products is separated by filtration, the solvent is removed from the liquid alkylphenol mixture, the product is dried under vacuum, and the solid product is extracted with water for 2 hours and dried.

EFFECT: possibility of expanding the range of products produced from pine bark resulting in tannin substances, pectins, cellulose, β-sitosterol, and alkylphenols.
