FIELD: drilling.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an alignment system; it can be used, when using drilling and boring tools, such as screw drills, etc., which are often attached to an excavator and actuated, when using an excavator. The claimed device for use in maintenance of a given orientation of a tool for formation of holes contains: orientation detection equipment capable of performing work on detection of orientation of the tool, and an orientation indicator capable of performing work, when installed on the tool, or on a drive unit, or a gearbox of the tool. In this case, the orientation indicator contains a set of lighting devices extending essentially around the tool or extending essentially around the drive unit or the gearbox of the tool. The orientation indicator has a set of indicator parts, and, when the orientation indicator is installed relatively to the tool, indicator parts are arranged so that they are visible from different places around the tool, in which the set of indicator parts includes the first indicator part and the second indicator part located mainly opposite the first indicator part. Moreover, separate lighting devices in a matrix are arranged relatively to each other to form a line of lighting devices, defining a closed shape corresponding to a perimeter and extending along the perimeter of an outer casing of the rotating drive unit of the tool. Lighting devices forming the first part of the matrix and lighting devices forming the second part of the matrix are not fixed and, from time to time, depending on a direction of deviation of orientation of the tool, other lighting devices may form a section of one or the other of the first and the second parts of the matrix, in which, when used, when orientation of the tool deviates from the given orientation, at least the first indicator part and the second indicator part light up to provide a visual indication of the direction, in which the tool deviates from the given orientation, and in which the first indicator part lights up in the first way, and the second indicator part lights up in the second way, when orientation of the tool deviates from the given orientation.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of drilling operations.
