SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to biotechnology, in particular to the field of antimicrobial peptides and their use in the treatment of infections. Antimicrobial peptide is proposed, having an amino acid sequence with a length of 18-21 amino acids and containing on its N-end SEQ ID NO: 1 or SEQ ID NO: 29, or peptide different from SEQ ID NO: 1 or SEQ ID NO: 29 with one, two, or three amino acids. If amino acid in a position corresponding to a position 1 of SEQ ID NO: 1 is glycine, then this glycine is not modified acyl or palmitic acid. Multimer for the production of peptide, a composition, and a method for the treatment of a bacterial infection caused by bacteria of Escherichia, Pseudomonas, Streptococcus, or Staphylococcus genus are also proposed.
EFFECT: peptide has improved antimicrobial activity, reduces a toxic effect for erythrocytes, is safe, especially during no-systematic, for example, topical use.
