On train locomotives, on-board equipment includes an on-board radio modem of a digital radio communication channel for interacting via a radio channel with a stationary radio modem, an auto-guidance system, a locomotive safety device and a radio channel gateway connected via an external locomotive CAN bus to an onboard radio modem, and via an internal locomotive CAN bus to the gateway CAN-MVB, connected via the internal locomotive CAN bus to the locomotive safety device, and via the MVB bus to the autopilot system. Stationary and on-board radio modems contain built-in transceivers for meter and decimeter radio wave bands with an automatic frequency range switch.
