FIELD: military tracked vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for optimizing the equipment layout of a military tracked vehicle to ensure fire safety during the operation of a military tracked vehicle (MTV). To optimize the layout, 1/3 of the charges of the average tank-rack of the habitable compartment are located in the aft module. The fuel of the middle tank-rack is placed in the external fuel tanks of increased volume. The charges and projectiles of the front fuel tank-rack are located in the aft module. The MTV internal fuel tanks are equipped with covers made of aramid fabric. The charges of the middle rack are equipped with anti-fragmentation protection from the side of the sides of the military tracked vehicle in the form of partitions made of armour plate and aramid fabric.
EFFECT: increased fire safety and survivability in case of combat damage of the mentioned MTV.
