FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the production of charge materials by recycling metallurgical slag. The briquette includes carbon-containing materials in the form of anthracite, iron-containing materials resulting from the recycling of metallurgical slag, and a mineral binder — cement, taken in the following ratio, wt.%: iron-containing component 88 to 90, carbon-containing component 5, binder 5 to 7. The fineness of the iron-containing materials contained in the charge herein is 3 to 20 mm. The briquette is shaped as a regular hexagonal prism. Method for producing the briquette comprises slag processing including the stages of setting the threshold values of particle sizes; supplying raw materials for processing; separating scrap metal; performing magnetic separation separating the iron-containing component, followed by dividing the magnetised product into three fractions: large, medium, and fine, in accordance with the set threshold particle size values; dividing the magnetised large fraction into 2 sub-fractions in accordance with the set threshold particle size values; screening and separating the refractory material; and separating the iron-containing component from the medium and fine particles. The preparation of the moulding mix includes the stages of supplying a fine iron-containing component into a mixer, dosing the components by weight, and mixing the iron-containing and carbon-containing components with the binder. The moulding of a briquette includes the stages of supplying the moulding mix to a vibrating press, pressing, and subsequent ageing of the resulting briquettes.
EFFECT: improved melting characteristics due to the use of the briquette, reduced labour intensity of the production thereof.
