FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to toxicology, and can be used to reduce the unfavourable effects of the combined effects of inorganic compounds of copper, zinc, lead, arsenic, and cadmium on the body in risk groups including both workers exposed to such effects in the conditions of blister copper manufacture and the population of territories under the influence of such manufacture. For this purpose, people from a high-risk group are administered a bioprophylactic complex including sodium glutamate, glycine, cysteine in a metabolically active form of N-acetylcysteine, apple pectin, selenium, iodine, calcium, iron, a fish oil agent enriched with omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, and vitamins A, B1, C, D3, and E, wherein the complex is taken in repeated 4-week courses twice a year in dosages providing a daily intake of glycine 300 mg, cysteine 600 mg, glutamic acid 4 g, fish oil containing 12 to 15% omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids 25 ml, pectin 5 g, as well as the above trace elements and vitamins in doses corresponding to the physiological needs of the human body.
EFFECT: reduction in the unfavourable effects of the combined effects of inorganic compounds of copper, zinc, lead, arsenic, and cadmium on the body of people in risk groups due to the reduced neurotoxic and genotoxic effects, as well as the hepatoprotective and nephroprotective effects of the complex on the body in mammals.
