FIELD: nuclear reactors.
SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to means for determining the steady state period of a nuclear reactor (NR). The method includes placing a current chamber in a neural stream and picking up a signal proportional to the NR power values, then the current signal is converted into voltage and fed to the input of two threshold devices, the response value of which is the same. The signal goes directly to the input to the first threshold device, and to the second one - through a divider with a division factor equal to e~2.718. After the first threshold device is triggered, a time counter is started, which stops when the second threshold device is triggered, and the time counter readings are taken corresponding to the value of the steady-state period of the nuclear reactor. The device includes a measuring channel for taking readings from a current chamber connected to a current-voltage converter based on an operational amplifier. The feedback circuit of the amplifier includes a load switching unit designed to select the conversion factor and connected to the control and indication unit. The converter is connected to two comparators, with one - directly, and with the other - through a divider, the output of which is connected to the scaling unit, which is used as timers-timers connected to the data processing unit connected to the control and indication unit.
EFFECT: increasing the speed and accuracy of determining the steady-state period of NR.
