FIELD: railway transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of railway automation and telemechanics. Apparatus for activating and monitoring an LED emitter of a traffic light comprises an AC current source, connected whereto are individual signal fuses, wherein connected in series with said fuses is the winding of the light-out relay and the contacts of the signal control relays connected via a cable line with the primary winding of the matching transformer; connected to the first secondary winding of said transformer is a rectifier bridge with a smoothing capacitor and a light emitter. The primary winding of the matching transformer herein is connected in series with the primary winding of the compensating transformer; the midpoint of the second secondary winding of the matching transformer is connected to one end of the secondary winding of the compensating transformer via a limiting resistor; the other two ends of the second secondary winding of the matching transformer are interconnected via the receiving elements of optical couplers and are connected to the other end of the secondary winding of the compensating transformer; and the emitting elements of the optical couplers are connected in series between the rectifier bridge and the light emitter.

EFFECT: operating reliability of the traffic light signalling and the train traffic collision control equipment is increased.
