FIELD: railway transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of railway automation and telemechanics. Apparatus for activating the route indicator of a traffic light comprises an alternating current source connected to the main contact of the signal relay of the traffic light via a fuse; the front contact of said relay is connected with the primary winding of the matching transformer by means of a cable line; a current resistor is connected in series with the primary winding of the matching transformer, wherein a comparator is connected to said resistor; and an LED matrix of the route indicator is connected to the first secondary winding of the matching transformer. A control signal shaper is connected herein to the control electrode of the alternating current key, and the output of the comparator is connected with the inputs of the pause counter and the signal time selector; the output of the signal time selector and the pause counter is connected with the control signal decoder, the outputs whereof are connected to the input of the switching apparatus and the output is connected with the LED matrix of the route indicator; wherein a power accumulator is connected to the second secondary winding of the matching transformer via a rectifier, the output of said accumulator being connected with the power inputs of the comparator, the pause counter, the signal time selector, and the control signal decoder.

EFFECT: consumption of cable and relay-contactor equipment is reduced.
