SUBSTANCE: invention relates to threaded, predominantly metal, caps made with the possibility of capping glass containers without destroying the thread and shape of the caps, which ensures the stability of capping using capping heads of automatic filling lines for liquid products and increases the reliability and tightness of capping containers. Threaded lid 1 is designed to seal a container having a neck 3, on the outer surface of the rim 4 of which a thread 5 is made, containing protrusions 6 and depressions 7. The lid 1 includes a body 8 containing an end wall 9, a sealing gasket 10, an outer side wall 11 and an inner side wall 12, on the surface facing the rim 4, the thread 13 is made, containing protrusions 141, 142 and depressions 15, adapted to form a screw engagement with the projections 6 and depressions 7 of the thread 5 of the rim 4 of the container. The thread 13 of the inner wall 12 has a first profile, the diameter of the tops of the protrusions 141 of which is greater than the diameter of the bottom of the depressions 7 of the profile of the thread 5 of the rim 4 of the container and which is adapted to form a gap C in the screw engagement. At the same time, the thread 13 of the inner wall 12 is made with the possibility of deforming the protrusions 141 of the first profile within the gap C in the process of capping the container and forming the second profile of this thread 13, the diameter of the tops of the protrusions 142 of which is commensurate with the diameter of the bottom 7 of the profile of the thread 5 of the rim 4 of the container.
