FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of levelling rolled structural steel to achieve surface smoothness acceptable for laser cutting. Sheets are deformed by multiple alternating bends at the regulated temperature. The multiple alternating bends are uneven and result from adjusting the lower support rollers located under the working rollers along the length on the ordinate axis of the Cartesian coordinate system. The coordinates of the lower support rollers located closer to the entrance into and exit out of the sheet-levelling machine have a negative or zero value on the ordinate axis. The coordinates of the lower support rollers located in the middle have a positive or zero value on the ordinate axis. If all of the lower support rollers located closer to the entrance into and exit out of the sheet-levelling machine, excluding the central lower support roller, have a zero value on the ordinate axis, the coordinate of the central lower support roller has a positive value.
EFFECT: levelled sheets retain the flat shape in the process of cooling.
