SUBSTANCE: design of a box made of cardboard for placing, storing, and transporting packages such as bags of snack products. An octagonal box, formed into a three-dimensional structure from a blank, with fold lines applied to it, contains side panels connected to the end panels using edges. One of the end panels is made with a valve designed to connect with the adjacent side panel to form a three-dimensional octagonal box. Flaps for forming the bottom of the box are adjacent to the side and end panels in the lower part, and flaps for forming the box lid are adjacent to the upper part. Along the edges of the lower flaps of the side panels, technological holes are formed for fixing the lower flaps of the end panels. The side panel flaps are formed with recesses for fixing the end panel flaps, and the end panel flaps are formed with chamfers on the sides, a fold line at the bottom and an arcuate cut-out.

EFFECT: making it possible to prevent the valves from bending in the opposite direction, making the design of the valve and the octagonal box more rigid.
