FIELD: space technology.
SUBSTANCE: device relates to space technology, namely to devices for sampling the ground, making channels for attachment of landing modules to objects with low gravity, installation of research sensors and other devices at a given depth; it can be used in study of planets and other celestial bodies. A device for ultrasound drilling of extraterrestrial objects contains an oscillation system placed in a case, a piezoelectric system, and a node for creation of low-frequency vibrations. The oscillation system consists of sequentially installed and acoustically interconnected reflecting overlay, piezoelectric elements, and concentrating overlay with a working tool. The reflecting overlay is made in the form of a body of rotation having a variable cross-section, and its diameter decreases from a diameter corresponding to a diameter of the piezo-element to a diameter defined by a given amplification coefficient. At the same time, a length of the overlay corresponds to quarter the length of US oscillation wave in the overlay of the variable cross-section. Free mass made in the form of a cylinder is placed on a cylindrical part of the reflecting overlay. An elastic element is made in the form of a preliminary partially compressed spring.
EFFECT: obtainment of a device for ultrasound drilling of extraterrestrial objects.
