FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, in particular, to ship propulsion systems. Ship propulsion system comprises one body, the lower part whereof below the waterline is made in the form of a nacelle. The body of the ship propulsion system can be turned relative to the ship hull around the vertical axis by means of a steering gear. One or two drive motors are placed in the body of the ship propulsion system, wherein power is supplied to said motors via a block of contact rings installed in the upper part of the body coaxially with the vertical axis of rotation of the body relative to the ship hull. Two bevel gear wheels are secured on the shaft of the drive motor, engaging with the two bevel gear wheels set on the upper ends of the two vertical shafts. Bevel gear wheels are secured on the lower ends of the vertical shafts located in the nacelle, engaging with the bevel gear wheels set on the two output shafts located along the nacelle axis. The ends of the output shafts are removed from the nacelle at opposite sides through seals, with propellers installed thereon. In order to increase the reliability of the ship propulsion system, two drive motors are placed in the body, wherein a bevel gear wheel is secured on the shaft of each of said motors, engaging with the bevel gear wheel set on one of the two vertical shafts.
EFFECT: power and reliability of the ship propulsion system are increased.
