FIELD: shipbuilding; motion of ship and control in heading.
SUBSTANCE: proposed system includes azimuth power plant (6) and drive units for turning the power plant (6) for control of ship in heading. Drive units include electric motor (20) for turning the said azimuth power plant (6) through mechanical power transmission (40) connected with electric motor. Power supply source (30) supplies electric power to electric motor (20). Control module (34) is used for control of electric motor (20) by means of control of power supply source (30). System includes also sensor (16) for estimation of angular position of azimuth power plant (6). Control module (34) is used for joint generation of steering command received from steering unit (38) and information on angular position received from sensor (16) for control of electric motor (20) according to results of this process.
EFFECT: simplified construction of system; enhanced economical efficiency and safety.
