SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture, in particular, to the technology of growing ware potatoes. Method includes tilling after the predecessor by peeling the stubble, ploughing, cutting the ridges, performing the pre-sowing treatment of tubers, planting potatoes and performing the pre-harvesting treatment of the plantings. An intermediate crop – white mustard is used as a green-manure fertiliser in the crop rotation, the resulting green mass of said crop is ploughed into the soil in autumn, and mineral fertilisers are applied. White mustard is pre-sown in the first decade of September after the predecessor – winter wheat at a seeding rate of 20 kg/ha to a depth of 2 to 3 cm. In the spring, after the physical ripeness of the soil is reached, mineral fertilisers are applied before planting potatoes, at the rate of 300 kg nitrophoska per 1 ha, followed by burying by cultivation to a depth of 12 to 14 cm, and the potatoes are planted with the ridges formed to a depth of 6 to 8 cm in the first decade of May when the physical ripeness of the soil is reached; tillage is performed before and after planting the potatoes.

EFFECT: increase in the fertility of soil, yield of potatoes, and quality of tubers due to the creation of environmentally sustainable conditions.
