FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture, in particular to methods for rice cultivation. The method includes preliminary study of rice for molybdenum content, its ranging for three groups with different molybdenum content, and determination of the need for treatment of rice with an aqueous molybdenum solution, depending on molybdenum content in it. Vegetative rice plants, in a phase of its tillering, are analyzed for molybdenum content in them after dry incineration at 525±25°C by an atomic-absorption method, and they are ranged for three groups: plants containing less than 0.35 mg/kg of dry aboveground mass are related to the first group, plants containing 0.35-0.75 mg/kg of dry aboveground mass are related to the second group, and plants containing more than 0.75 mg/kg of dry aboveground mass are related to the third group. If plants contain less than 0.75 mg/kg of molybdenum, then foliar application is carried out with 0.1% aqueous molybdenum solution with a flow rate of the working solution of 300 l/ha.

EFFECT: method provides an increase in the yield of rice and reduction in a flow rate of fertilizers containing molybdenum due to determination of the need for foliar application of vegetative rice plants with this microelement.
