FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil and gas industry and can be used for operational control by IR spectrometry of the paraffin content in gas condensate during the development of gas condensate fields. The method for determining the content of paraffins in gas condensate includes sampling a stable gas condensate and measuring its integral optical density spectrum using an IR Fourier spectrometer in the range of 4000 cm-1 - 400 cm-1. The determination of the mass fraction of paraffin in gas condensate is carried out by the PLS method in accordance with a calibration model created according to standards representing samples of gas condensate with a known concentration of paraffins, and the selection of regions for creating a calibration model is carried out in sections of the integrated optical density spectra that change monotonically in the selected areas.
EFFECT: possibility of express determination of the mass content of paraffins in the products of gas condensate wells.
