FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of oil and gas industry and relates to an express method for detection of solid paraffin suspension in oil and gas condensate well products using an infrared spectrometer. Method includes sampling and measurement of its integral optical density in transmission spectrum maximum at wavenumber section of 3,600–3,460 cm-1 in 2.4-mm optical cell. Appearance of solid paraffin suspension in the sample of the well product is determined by increasing integral optical density of the sample to a value higher than the numerical value of specific density of the sample.
EFFECT: technical result is faster detection of solid paraffin suspension in products of oil and gas condensate wells.
