FIELD: microbiology.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to control of microorganisms in industrial technological water; it can be used for control and removal of biofilm from a surface, when contacting a water industrial system. A method for control and removal of biofilm from the surface contacting industrial technological water is proposed, including obtainment of a composition consisting of polyethyleneimine (hereinafter – PEI), biocide, which is selected from a group consisting of monochloramine, dichloramine, or a combination thereof, and water, and addition of the specified composition to industrial technological water. At the same time, PEI concentration is in the range from 1 to 200 mg/l per amount of water to be processed, and biocide concentration is in the range from 1.0 to 15 mg/l in the form of Cl2 per milligram of biocide in liter of water to be processed. The mass ratio of biocide and PEI in the composition is from 1:1 to 1:80. A composition for control and removal of biofilm from the surface contacting industrial technological water is also proposed, containing PEI and biocide selected from a group consisting of monochloramine, dichloramine, and a combination thereof.

EFFECT: synergetic control of biofilms from a point of view of both their destruction and removal from a surface, which allows for reduction in amount of one or both chemical reagents and at the same time provision of a required finite level of biofilm control.
