FIELD: electric-welded pipes production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of electric-welded pipes and can be used in the manufacture of pipes with a diameter of 508 to 1422 mm with a wall thickness of 6 to 20 mm from austenitic steel grades for pipelines used in difficult operating conditions. Welding is carried out with controlled heat input depending on the thickness of the pipe wall. First, a continuous technological seam of the formed tubular billet is performed by automatic welding with a consumable electrode in a shielding gas environment, after which the inner and outer welds are made by welding under a layer of ceramic flux with a deviation of the heat input value of ±35% from the corresponding nominal values.
EFFECT: method improves the quality of the welded joint of electric-welded pipes by obtaining an impact strength of KCV-196 of at least 27 J/cm2 while maintaining resistance to intergranular corrosion.
