FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the metallurgical industry, namely to the composition of an antimicrobial agent for antibacterial finishing enamel for application to a steel sheet, the use of this composition to impart antimicrobial properties to polyester or polyurethane finishing enamels and steel sheet coated with finishing enamel with antimicrobial properties. The specified composition of the antimicrobial agent contains an antimicrobial metal in the form of colloidal particles of silver and/or copper no larger than 100 nm in a total amount of 20-200 mg/kg, a stabilizer in the form of poly-L-lysine in an amount of 1-5 wt. %, and organic solvent selected from isobutyl alcohol, methyl ethyl ketone, isopropyl alcohol and acetone being the rest. The mentioned steel sheet contains a coating of antimicrobial finishing enamel containing the above composition of an antimicrobial agent and applied to the substrate in the form of a steel sheet with a thickness of 15-50 mcm. The coating of antimicrobial finish enamel in dry form contains a dispersed phase in the form of silver and/or copper particles of no more than 100 nm in size and with a mass content in the range of 1.5-5 mg/kg, and the deviation of the particle concentration does not exceed 3% over the entire depth of the layer.

EFFECT: antimicrobial agent is provided, which makes it possible to obtain a steel sheet with a finishing coating having the best anticorrosive, antimicrobial, decorative properties, as well as with high adhesion to the steel sheet.
