FIELD: sensors.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dust sensors, in particular, to compact dust sensors made to be integrated into various devices, such as smartphones, mobile phones, smart watches, tablet computers, etc. Claimed dust sensor comprises a light source; an output-structure waveguide receiving light from a light source and emitting light through the output structure, wherein the output structure is configured to output a light flux propagating evenly parallel to the photodetector matrix, above the photodetector matrix, and not incident on said matrix; and a photodetector matrix for detecting the light scattered on the particles passing through the light flux emitted from the output structure. Also claimed is an electronic computing apparatus containing the following: a dust sensor, at least one processor, and a memory storing the instructions made to prompt at least one processor to determine the granulometric composition of air when executed by at least one processor.

EFFECT: structural simplification and size reduction of the dust sensor.
