FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for non-destructive measurement in the air of the volume of the internal cavity of vessels of various standard sizes with a complex inner surface. Substance hereof consists in using any vessel from the production flow of a given standard size as a reference vessel, with the volume thereof Ve being predetermined, wherein the known volume of the reference vessel Ve is compared with the volume of the measured vessel Vu. The reference vessel is installed on the apparatus in the measuring branch of the pneumatic system, the vessel is tightly sealed, and the ejection circuit of the measuring and reference branches of the apparatus is evacuated. The pressures in both branches are then equalised by moving the plunger in the adjustable control container. When the pressures in both branches are equal, the position of the plunger is recorded. The volume of the reference vessel in the adjustable control container is recorded. The measured vessel is installed on the apparatus in the measuring branch; the operations are repeated without changing the volume of the control container of the reference branch. The pressures are equalised by moving the calibration rod in the adjustable container of the measuring unit. The difference ΔV between the volumes of the reference and measured vessels is determined by the value of movement of the calibration rod, and the desired volume Vu of the vessel is determined by the following formula: Vu=Ve±ΔV cm3.
