FIELD: measuring methods
SUBSTANCE: method for measuring volumes and determining the densities of porous bodies. The volume of the body is calculated by the straight line equation VT = b+k·ΔP, obtained by constructing a calibration graph, along the abscissa of which the magnitude of the change in air pressure is counted ΔP the sample vessel in the rarefaction or excess pressure mode, and along the y-axis - the volume of the body corresponding to this value of change VT, the line passes through two points: with coordinates [ΔP; 0], when calibrating an empty vessel, and [ΔPref; Vref] - corresponding to the characteristics of the reference body, where VT is the desired volume of the body, b and k are the coefficients of the straight line equation, ΔP is the change in air pressure in the sample vessel, ΔPref is the amount of change in air pressure in the sample vessel during calibration, Vref is the volume of the reference body, the density of the porous body is determined by the formula
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of measuring the volume and determining the density of porous bodies of arbitrary shape, different humidity and fractional composition.
