FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thrust reversers for power plants of an aircraft. The thrust reverser for power plant (1) of an aircraft contains a movable structure having outer bonnets (411) connected to pivots (51) with a rotary connection providing a possibility of rotation of outer bonnets (411) between a closed position and a maintenance position. In this case, pivots (51) are connected to second guide rails (52) rigidly connected to rack (2) of a turbojet engine with a sliding connection providing a possibility of progressive movement of outer bonnets (411) between a direct thrust position and a reverse thrust position. At the same time, pivots (51) and second guide rails (52) are independent of beams (42), to which parts (412) of the movable structure are connected, other than outer bonnets (411). The maintenance method includes placement of outer bonnets (411) in the maintenance position and subsequent removal of beams (42) and specified parts (412) of the movable structure, other than movable bonnets (411).
EFFECT: invention provides reduction in the duration of maintenance operations requiring removal of an engine.
