FIELD: steel production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technology for the preparation and production of briquettes for use in steel production. The briquette consists of sludge from blast-furnace gas cleaning, dust from gas cleaning from electric steelmaking and oiled scale from rolling mills. At the same time, the ratio of components in the briquette is as follows, wt.%: sludge from blast-furnace gas cleaning - 20.0-50.0; gas cleaning dust of electric steelmaking production - 30.0-60.0; oiled mill scale - 20.0-40.0; binder - 0.3-10.0. The briquette is made of a cylindrical shape with a diameter of no more than 60 mm, a length of no more than 150 mm and is characterized by a resistance to crushing force of at least 80 kgf/cm2.
EFFECT: obtaining a briquette that meets the requirements of steelmaking for iron-containing materials in terms of humidity, transport strength, high iron content, the presence of a reducing agent in the composition of the briquette.
