FIELD: dentistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to orthopaedic dentistry, to maxillofacial prosthetics, and is used for rehabilitation of patients with acquired maxillary defects after operations for oncological diseases. Presented is maxillary obturator prosthesis with a solid-cast metal cobalt-chromium base made to fit to the supporting area with clasps extending from the base in the lower part thereof for securing the prosthesis and alveolar clasps for eliminating the cantilever effect when using a volumetric prosthesis. The above prosthesis is also provided with a combined spherical concave obturating part in the form of a base with holes for the passage of a medical product, covered with acrylic plastic lining, made in the upper part of the base and facing the supporting area. The acrylic plastic fills the entire bowl-shaped area up to the polished metal ring covering the obturating part and configured to be immersed in the entrance of the postoperative maxillary defect and be localised in the area of thinned mucosa of the entrance when the prosthesis is positioned in the oral cavity.

EFFECT: higher quality of orthopaedic rehabilitation of patients with acquired maxillary defects after operations for oncological diseases.
