FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to the assembly of the shielded cable into the electrical connector. The technical result is to ensure reliable electrical contact of the outer shield of the cable with the body of the electrical connector around the perimeter for maximum protection against EMF. The assembly of the shielded cable into the electrical connector contains a shielded cable, the current-carrying cores of which are connected to the contacts of the electrical connector, an electrically conductive casing with a hollow shank, is made in the form of a sleeve, on the side surface of which through slots are made with the formation of lobes, with the possibility of their deformation when the unshielded part of the cable is compressed, while the shielding sheath of the cable is stretched over the sleeve and it is fixed with a bandage made of wire, the ends of which are connected to the split sleeve by welding.
EFFECT: invention enables to create an electrical connector.
