FIELD: electrical engineering; cable sealing in electrical connector.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method for sealing shielded cable in electrical connector includes enclosing of connector shroud tail end by pulsed magnetic field and its compression therein by current-carrying casing made of metal foil folded in the form of sleeve followed by its distribution among external pieces of equipment at the same time fixing edges and filling space formed by current-carrying casing with sealing compound; first layer of this compound is applied to inner surface of current-carrying casing followed by its hardening prior to mounting on shroud tail end; cable shield is pulled on current-carrying casing upon hardening of all sealing compound introduced in mentioned casing space and placed between outer surface of current-carrying casing and additional metal-foil attachment ring; casing is also compressed with pulsed magnetic field.
EFFECT: enhanced quality and reliability of cable sealing in connector due to providing reliable support when pulling current-carrying casing onto cable sheath.
