FIELD: accelerator technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to accelerator technology and can be used in the development of bremsstrahlung sources based on linear electron accelerators. The bremsstrahlung source contains an electron gun, an accelerating structure, an electron conductor, to the output of which the first flange is vacuum-tightly connected, which is hermetically connected to the second flange through a gasket. The first and second round foils are soldered into the apertures of the flanges, respectively, between which a cylindrical target with a diameter of less than 1 mm is installed, contacting with its ends with the concave surfaces of the dents facing each other in the centers of the first and second foils. The gasket is made in the form of a ring with two transverse diametrically located partitions inside, dividing the cavity, between the first and second flanges to the inlet and outlet chambers, which are connected by cold pipes through cylindrical channels made in the first flange, with the refrigerant circulation system, its temperature and pressure control. Behind the second flange there is a magnet, the interpolar space of which is located on the axis of the cylindrical target.
EFFECT: obtaining bremsstrahlung with a focal spot diameter of less than 1 mm.
