FIELD: pipelines repair.
SUBSTANCE: device for pipeline repair is intended for carrying out emergency and restoration work in the process of eliminating leaks in existing high-pressure oil and gas pipelines both in emergency situations and when performing scheduled preventive repair work. The device comprises a housing, a tightening assembly, a locking assembly including a support element, a fixing element and a sealing element. The design of the device allows for complete sealing of leaks in the pipeline with welds applied to the body and shut-off unit, as well as to restore the mechanical strength of the repaired section of the pipeline. Due to the small weight and size characteristics of the pipeline repair device and the low effort required for its installation, it can be operated by one operator.
EFFECT: use of the device improves the quality and reliability of repairs.
