FIELD: transportation; machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for carrying out repair and restoration works on existing pipelines made on the basis of pressure pipes from thermoplastic materials used for movement of liquid and gaseous substances under pressure. Fitting incorporates a mechanical threaded joint and a welded joint of a cylindrical plug from thermoplastic with a cylindrical housing from thermoplastic. Presence of the threaded connection completely protects the welded connection and excludes the negative effect on its strength of possible longitudinal and transverse mechanical loads. Reliable fixation of the threaded connection due to electric welding excludes thread loosening and spontaneous unscrewing of the cylindrical plug from thermoplastic from the cylindrical housing from thermoplastic under the effect of operational and climatic loads.
EFFECT: invention has high reliability, strength and tightness.
