FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of powder metallurgy of aluminum-based alloys used in sliding friction units. Wear-resistant anti-friction composite material based on aluminum contains, wt.%: tin 30-49, iron 5.5-13.4, aluminum the rest, while after sintering particles of solid iron aluminides are formed in the material. A method for producing an aluminum-based composite material includes preparing a mixture of powder from powder components, forming a compact, two-stage sintering, followed by its compaction. The compact is formed up to a porosity of 8-12%, sintered first at a temperature of 525-535°C, then the sintering temperature is increased to 570-710°C and maintained at the specified temperature, after which the sintered compact is subjected to compaction under a pressure of 295-305 MPa in a closed stamp.
EFFECT: material is characterized by high mechanical and tribological properties.
