FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy of aluminium-based alloys used in sliding friction assemblies. Wear-resistant antifriction aluminium-based composite material contains the following, wt.%: tin from 37 to less than 37.7 or from more than 37.7 to 38; Al3Fe 17-36; aluminium – the rest. Method of producing a wear-resistant aluminium-based antifriction composite material includes preparing a mixture of powders of aluminium, tin and iron, moulding a compact, its sintering and subsequent compaction, wherein the compact is sintered at temperature of 710-720 °C with holding at said temperature, and compaction is carried out in a closed die at temperature of 250-260 °C and pressure of 305-350 MPa, wherein material of said composition is obtained. Material is characterized by high strength and wear resistance.
EFFECT: improved tribotechnical properties.
