SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing epoxidated vegetable oils, preferably soy or linseed oil. Method for producing epoxidated vegetable oils consists in a reaction of a vegetable oil with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of formic acid, wherein hydrogen peroxide pre-stabilised with dipicolinic acid or orthophosphoric acid is added to the vegetable oil, where the amount of hydrogen peroxide ranges from 0.3 to 0.6 weight parts per one part weight of the oil, the dipicoline or orthophosphoric acid is added in an amount of 0.003 to 0.009 weight parts per one part weight of the oil, and the formic acid is added in an amount from 0.03 to 0.05 weight parts per one part weight of the oil.

EFFECT: better quality of the end product for the use thereof as one of the components in the manufacture of packaging in the food and medical industries.
