SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for the preparation of carbon with a low sulfur content. A method for the preparation of carbon with a low sulfur content is described, including bringing of carbon into contact with a chemical reagent, which is a mixed solution of hydrogen peroxide and acetic anhydride, to remove sulfur from carbon, in which acetic anhydride and hydrogen peroxide are mixed before the chemical reagent is brought into contact with carbon, and in which, after 10 min or more after mixing of acetic anhydride and hydrogen peroxide, the chemical reagent is brought into contact with carbon.
EFFECT: preparation of carbon with a low sulfur content.
