FIELD: organic synthesis.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of basic organic synthesis, specifically to a method for obtaining higher straight chain 2-ketones containing from five to ten carbon atoms by catalytic oxidation of the corresponding 1-alkenes with oxygen or an oxygen-containing gas, as well as a catalyst for its implementation. A homogeneous catalytic system based on palladium (II) acetate and 0.2–0.3 M aqueous solution of the acidic sodium salt of molybdovanadophosphoric heteropoly acid NaH10P4Mo18V7O87 with a vanadium concentration of 1.4–2.1 mol/L is proposed. Also proposed is a method for obtaining higher 2-ketones, according to which 1-alkenes are oxidized in a two-phase aqueous-organic medium in the presence of the described homogeneous catalytic system, followed by regeneration of the catalytic system by its interaction with oxygen or an oxygen-containing gas.

EFFECT: increasing the conversion of the starting 1-alkenes to the corresponding 2-ketones by increasing the activity of the catalytic system; technical simplification and safety of the process of oxidation of 1-alkenes by carrying out the reaction at atmospheric pressure and separating the target reaction and the regeneration stage.
