FIELD: cooling equipment.
SUBSTANCE: gas cooler rib with air cooling contains flow channel walls forming an airflow channel. Airflow channel walls include flat sections separated with intermittent flow gaps, which are located at a distance from each other along the airflow channel. Intermittent flow gaps are defined with flow channel walls. Intermittent flow gaps can, for example, include gaps formed in a checkmate order, in which flat sections of a channel wall before and after each gap are located in a checkmate order; or periodical sinusoid waves arising in a flow part of the wall; or flaps are formed in the flow channel wall to create holes for a flow passing through a supply channel wall to flaps. Intermittent flow gaps can be spaced along the airflow channel for at least 5 hydraulic diameters, and, in some implementation options, for 5-10 hydraulic diameters.
EFFECT: set of such gas cooler ribs with air cooling is advisable to use with airflow channels located in parallel.
