FIELD: metal working.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metal forming using a pulse magnetic field and can be used for manufacturing cylindrical hollow metal items. Inductor for magnetic pulse processing of hollow cylindrical workpieces with a spiral consisting of separate segments shaped as split disks with a cut-out sector, coiled at a constant pitch. Current leads are welded to the end-wise segments. The coils are made of sheet metal with a cut-out sector bent at an angle of 10 to 90 ° and welded together. The spiral is heat-treated by tempering.
EFFECT: reliability with simpler manufacturing technology and prolonged operating life of the inductor.
