SUBSTANCE: method of the manufacture of foamed cross-linked polyethylene or ethylene copolymers. The method includes extrusion of a blank sheet from pre-mixed polymer granules with granules of concentrates of powder components, cross-linking of polymer molecules by irradiating the blank sheet with a stream of accelerated particles or by decomposing chemicals by heating the blank sheet from 200 to 275°C, followed by the blank sheet foaming. Granules of concentrates of powder components are obtained by mixing powder components with a polymer melt at a temperature of 120 to 200°C in a twin screw extruder, through an intermediate feeder, followed by underwater granulation.

EFFECT: increase in the homogeneity of the foamed polymer, with a given pore size, without defects.
