DETECTION OF BELONGING IN CAPNOGRAPHIC MODULES Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B5/08 A61B5/97 A61M16/08

Abstract RU 2790925 C2

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, namely to a connection of a capnographic device for a breathing gas flow, a capnographic analyzer of breathing gas, and a capnographic method for analysis of breathing gas. The connection contains connector (30, 30M) of the device, having embracing receiving part (40) or embraced union (40M). The embracing receiving part or the embraced union of the device connector contains side-oriented leakage channel (60, 60M). The connector includes connector (32) of patient’s belonging, having embraced union (44) or an embracing receiving part, made with the possibility of connection to the embracing receiving part or the embraced union of the device connector. The connector of patient’s belonging hermetically closes the side-oriented leakage channel of the embracing receiving part or the embraced union of the device connector, when the connector of patient’s belonging is connected to the connector device. The analyzer contains connector (30, 30M), measuring cell (10) for breathing gas, and pump (14) functionally connected for pumping of an airflow from the device connector and from the side-oriented leakage channel through the measuring channel for breathing gas. The method includes connection of patient’s belonging (28) to breathing gas analyzer (8), control of operation of pump (14) for pumping of an airflow from patient’s belonging to the breathing gas analyzer, detection of whether patient’s belonging is connected to the breathing gas analyzer based on measurement of the airflow; and analysis of breathing gas on the selected airflow, using the breathing gas analyzer.

EFFECT: reliability of a capnographic or another breathing gas analyzer.
