SUBSTANCE: the group of inventions relates to agriculture. The method consists in machine cutting heads, refinement of heads, when long stalks are cut again, distribution of stalks along the front of cabbage harvester operation using a longitudinal conveyor, manual transfer from the longitudinal conveyor into replaceable containers. Heads are transferred from the longitudinal conveyor to interchangeable container, installed in the cabbage harvester on the conveyor with controlled drive. The method provides the possibility of loading replaceable containers after filling them with cabbage into the vehicle body, equipped with roller conveyor by placing the unloading end of the conveyor using a power hydraulic cylinder in height relative to the surface of the roller conveyor before loading containers with cabbage into the vehicle body and connecting its controlled drive to work. The cabbage harvesting device for the implementation of the above method contains the cabbage harvester with the device for refining heads in the form of cutting conveyor, when long stalks are cut again, with the longitudinal conveyor and platform for workers. The conveyor with controlled drive and power hydraulic cylinder is installed next to the platform on the frame of the cabbage harvester to control the position of its unloading end in height with the possibility of loading containers with cabbage on it into the vehicle body.

EFFECT: an increase in the replaceable productivity of the cabbage harvester is ensured by reducing downtime.
