FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemical field of obtaining reinforcing fillers. The method for producing modified fibrous materials based on polyacrylonitrile precursor (PAN-precursor) includes modification of fibrous materials with aqueous solutions of 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane, subsequent drying and heat treatment. The process of modification of the PAN-precursor is carried out with aqueous solutions of 2-10, wt. %, of 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane containing 0.2-0.6, wt. % of acetic acid, at a pH of 4.4-4.6, modification duration 58-62 seconds, solution temperature 18-22°C. The impregnated fibrous materials are dried at a temperature of 48-52°C for 38-42 minutes and heat treated at a temperature of 98-102°C for 14-16 minutes.

EFFECT: increase in the strength of fibrous materials is provided.
