FIELD: wireless sensor networks.
SUBSTANCE: invention makes it possible to determine criteria for selecting the optimal message transmission route in wireless sensor networks, taking into account the physical characteristics of the sensor devices in the wireless sensor network. The method is based on the cosine theorem and allows you to determine the route of message transmission from the source node to the base station, which consumes the minimum amount of energy. This approach assumes that the base station knows the coordinates of the sensor nodes and calculates the linear distances between them.
EFFECT: reduction of the power consumption of the wireless sensor network.
