FIELD: gas turbine gas compressor units.

SUBSTANCE: method for operation of the gas turbine gas compressor unit of the compressor station of the main gas pipeline provides for the generation of superheated high-pressure steam due to the heat of the gas-steam working fluid expanded in the turbine, its mixing with heated natural gas supplied from the main gas pipeline to obtain a methane-containing mixture, its heating with the heat of the expanded working fluid, the methane-containing mixture is fed into the first adiabatic catalytic reactor with the formation of a methane-hydrogen mixture containing 5-6% hydrogen, heating this mixture in the second catalytic reactor at 620-680°C with an increase in the proportion of hydrogen in it up to 25%, using a smaller part of this mixture as a gas-pumping fuel unit, cooling most of the methane-hydrogen mixture to 35-40°C and its supply to the main gas pipeline.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to use the resulting methane-hydrogen mixture as a fuel for a gas-pumping unit, as well as for its supply to a main gas pipeline.
