FIELD: pipeline transport of gas.
SUBSTANCE: in the proposed method, part of the worn-out gas turbine gas compressor units (GCU) is dismantled at the compressor station and high-speed electric GCUs are installed. The gas-turbine expander power unit is additionally equipped with a counter-pressure steam turbine, a waste heat boiler with a superheater and a condenser-separator, and a water-cooling device - a cooling tower. The waste heat boiler generates superheated steam with a pressure of 9 MPa, which is expanded in the counterpressure steam turbine up to 2-2.5 MPa and fed into the combustion chamber of a high-speed gas turbine expander power unit. Most of the water cooled in the cooling tower is used for injection into the gas-vapor mixture, while a smaller part of it is softened and used to generate superheated steam. High-frequency electric power generated by a gas-turbine expander power unit is used to power high-speed electrically driven GCUs. The gas-turbine expander unit operates with a constant electric power while maintaining the rated power of the electrically driven GCUs fed from it.
EFFECT: steam injection into the combustion chamber increases the power of the gas turbine expander unit, reduces the emission of harmful substances, improves environmental friendliness, and reduces the cost of gas transportation.
