SUBSTANCE: invention to provides shielding of the environment from speech sound, thereby achieving improved capture of speech sound by means of a microphone of the speech capture area. For this purpose, the speech capture device (10) is designed to be located on or near the head of the person speaking (100) and contains an inner side (11) and an outer side (22), including a microphone (19), a speech capture area (18), which is at least partially facing the inner side (11) or forms it, and a sound-suppressing device (20) that is at least partially facing the outside (22) of the device (10) or forms it. In this case, the sound-suppressing device (20) has a front side (32) facing the person, a back side (30) and a sound-suppressing structure (34) that extends at least partially between the front side (32) and the back side (30). In addition, the silencing device (20) has at least one vibroacoustic region and/or the silencing device (20) on the front side (32), at least in sections has a fibrous surface texture with several protruding fiber-like sections of the material.
EFFECT: present invention enables to shield the environment from a speech sound.
